Use MCP prompts and resources

angelo's MCP servers expose two model-facing surfaces besides tools:

  • Prompts — user-initiated slash-command entry points. You pick one (and fill any arguments); it seeds the conversation with a canonical, correctly-sequenced instruction so the agent runs the right workflow the right way. Prompts are invoked by you, not the agent.
  • Resources — read-only context the agent can pull on demand (no tool call needed). Handy for closed vocabularies and orientation maps.

Both ship with the servers, so any project that ran angelo init already has them — no extra setup.

Prompts (slash commands)

In Cursor, type / in the chat to see available MCP prompts, then pick one. In Claude Code, prompts appear as slash commands too.

zettelkasten ingest-source source Ingest a paper/doc/Zotero item and run grounded extraction.
zettelkasten research-question question Explore the corpus: query_topic → frame_question → guide.

A prompt just seeds the turn — you stay in control and can edit or redirect before the agent proceeds.

Resources

Resources are addressed by URI and pulled by the agent when relevant. The agent is pointed at them from each server's overview() tool, so it knows they exist.

URI What it gives you
memory://overview · coordinator://overview · zettelkasten://overview The server's orientation map (same content as its overview() tool).
memory://entry-types The controlled vocabulary for an entry's type (the values record accepts).
zettelkasten://vocabulary The valid note types, relations, and synthesis/epistemic statuses — read this instead of guessing a value.
